Queers in Design aims to uplift the practices, voices, and stories of LGBTQ-identifying students, and to make visible the intersections of LGBTQ communities' lived experiences and their academic and professional practice.
The group aims to dismantle, interrogate, and provoke change in spaces that exclude, while creating dynamic social spaces that include. Queers in Design welcomes all LGBTQ-identifying people and allies and their participation in any form: from planning and attending social events, to organizing lecture series; from welcoming prospective students at the annual Queer ‘n' Dogs, to leading advocacy projects and research. As the priorities of students and the broader LGBTQ community evolve, we especially welcome the input of new members to reshape the vision for Queers in Design.
